What to expect

As a temporary driver for Wright Staff, you may ask what the experience is like day to day and week to week. You can rest assured that you are in very capable hands. The process begins with us finding out everything about you and how we can help mould your working life around other commitments. We find out about your experience in the commercial driving sector and more importantly what work you enjoy doing. Should you choose to join our team of over 300 active temporary drivers, we explain your duties to provide an exceptional service that only a Wright Staff driver can provide. Before accepting any assignments, you will be briefed in full and all expectations of the day explained to you. We guarantee a minimum 8 hours of work to ensure you get rewarded for a full day’s work.

Registration Process

Our consultants and resourcing team reach out to the job market daily to find the best temporary candidates currently available. Thus meaning, many of our long term drivers originated from a random call from a member of our team. We also welcome new drivers to come and visit us in branch to discuss our processes and what we have to offer. Once both parties are agreed and an interview is organised, our team will run through a detailed process including all health and safety and legal requirements, including referencing and written tachograph tests. We spend a lot of time with new temporary drivers, so they understand exactly how we work and what is expected of them. This separates us from many agencies who just see prospective drivers as a bum on a seat. We value our staff right from the outset and make them feel part of our team.
