New Pass Class 1 Drivers Welcome!

If you’ve recently passed your Class 1 (C+E) test, we’d love to hear from you. New Pass Class 1 drivers are welcome to apply, provided they have at least 6 months’ Class 2 driving experience. Previous store delivery experience is not required, as full site induction and training will be provided before your shift, including how to operate the fridge unit, tail lift, and other site-specific procedures.

About the Role

We are currently recruiting Class 1 (C+E) HGV Drivers for a range of flexible assignments, working Monday to Friday on either day or night shifts.

Whether you’re looking for occasional ad hoc work, part-time hours, or a full-time ongoing assignment, we have opportunities to suit your availability.

You’ll be carrying out a mixture of trunking and store deliveries, depending on operational requirements and shift start times. This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers seeking consistent, well-paid work with flexibility.

Pay Rates

Standard PAYE

• Days (Monday to Friday): £18.00 per hour
• Nights (After 6:00pm, Monday to Friday): £18.50 per hour

PAYE with Rolled-Up Holiday Pay

• Days (Monday to Friday): £20.17 per hour
• Nights (After 6:00pm, Monday to Friday): £20.73 per hour

Shift Patterns

• Various start times available
• Monday to Friday
• Day and night shifts available
• Typical shift length of 8–12 hours
• Mixture of trunking and store deliveries
• Bay deliveries only
• Deliveries involving cages and pallets

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles in line with transport legislation and company procedures.
• Complete deliveries and collections efficiently and professionally.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects.
• Accurately complete all required driver paperwork and records.
• Deliver excellent customer service at all times.
• Comply with Driver Hours Regulations and the Working Time Directive.

Requirements

• Full UK Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• New Pass Class 1 drivers are welcome, provided they have at least 6 months’ Class 2 driving experience.
• Good understanding of Driver Hours Regulations and the Working Time Directive.
• Professional, reliable, and flexible approach to work.
• No more than 6 penalty points (no DR, DD, or IN endorsements).
