Class 1 (C+E) HGV Driver – Weekend Opportunities

New Pass Class 1 Drivers Welcome!

If you’ve recently passed your Class 1 (C+E) test, we’d love to hear from you. New Pass Class 1 drivers are welcome to apply, provided they have at least 6 months’ Class 2 driving experience. Previous store delivery experience is not required, as full site induction and training will be provided before your shift, including how to operate the fridge unit, tail lift, and other site-specific procedures.

About the Role

We’re currently recruiting Class 1 (C+E) HGV Drivers for weekend assignments. Whether you’re looking for occasional shifts, part-time hours, or regular weekend work, we have a range of opportunities to fit your availability.

You’ll be completing a mix of trunking and store deliveries, depending on operational requirements. With both day and night shifts available, this is an excellent opportunity to boost your earnings while enjoying flexible working patterns.

Weekend Pay Rates

Standard PAYE

• Saturday: £19.00 per hour
• Sunday: £21.25 per hour

PAYE with Rolled-Up Holiday Pay

• Saturday: £21.29 per hour
• Sunday: £23.81 per hour

Shift Details

• Saturday and Sunday shifts available
• Day and night shifts
• Various start times to suit your availability
• Typical shift length: 8–12 hours
• Mixture of trunking and store deliveries
• Deliveries involving cages and pallets
• Bay deliveries only

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles in line with all transport legislation.
• Complete deliveries and collections safely, efficiently, and on time.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Complete all driver paperwork accurately.
• Deliver excellent customer service at every delivery point.
• Comply with Driver Hours Regulations and the Working Time Directive.

What We’re Looking For

• Full UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• New Pass Class 1 drivers are welcome, provided they have at least 6 months’ Class 2 driving experience.
• Good knowledge of Driver Hours Regulations and the Working Time Directive.
• Professional, reliable, and flexible approach to work.
• No more than 6 penalty points (no DR, DD, or IN endorsements).
