Class 1 Container Driver

HGV Class 1 Container Drivers Required – Walsall

We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for ongoing ad hoc container work based in Walsall.

The Role

This is 100% container work, so previous container experience is essential. A valid port card is highly desirable.

Day Shifts:

Start times between 04:00 – 06:00

Typically 3–4 local deliveries per shift

Night Shifts:

Start times between 16:00 – 18:00

Usually one drop and swap at the docks

Operation runs 24/7, offering flexibility across days and nights.

Requirements

Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence

Minimum 2 years on licence (due to insurance – DNI)

Proven container experience (essential)

Port card preferred but not mandatory

Good understanding of UK driving regulations

Pay Rates

Monday – Friday Days: £15.25 – £17.09 per hour

Monday – Friday Nights: £16.25 – £18.21 per hour

Saturday: £18.00 – £20.17 per hour

Sunday: £20.00 – £22.41 per hour
