Job Title: Driving Consultant
Location: Wright Staff, Worcester (covering Worcester, Malvern, and Droitwich)
Salary: Competitive base salary + realistic bonus structure

Reports To: Branch Manager

Job Overview:
Wright Staff is seeking an experienced Driving Consultant to join our expanding recruitment team in Worcester. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about the logistics and driving sectors who are looking to build and maintain strong client and candidate relationships while driving business growth.
As a Driving Consultant, you will be responsible for managing a warm desk covering the Worcester, Malvern, and Droitwich areas. The role involves working closely with both clients and candidates, ensuring quality matches between the two, and providing an exceptional level of service at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Development & Client Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients in the driving sector.
    • Identify new business opportunities and actively develop the driving desk through lead generation, cold calling, and networking.
    • Manage client accounts, understand their recruitment needs, and offer tailored staffing solutions.
    • Attend client meetings to ensure service excellence and understand client requirements.
  2. Candidate Sourcing & Management:
    • Source, register, and interview candidates for various driving roles (e.g., Class 1, Class 2, van drivers).
    • Utilise job boards, social media, referrals, and networking to attract high-quality candidates.
    • Screen, shortlist, and present candidates to clients.
    • Manage candidate availability and ensure effective communication regarding job opportunities.
    • Maintain and grow the candidate pool through regular engagement and professional relationships.
  3. Compliance & Administration:
    • Ensure all candidates meet legal requirements, including driver qualifications, licenses, and right-to-work documentation.
    • Conduct and manage all necessary compliance checks (e.g., DVLA checks, CPC, tachographs).
    • Keep the candidate database up to date with accurate and relevant information.
  1. Achieving Sales & KPI Targets:
    • Meet and exceed personal and branch-wide sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Drive growth on the desk by working towards realistic but challenging revenue and activity targets.
    • Deliver exceptional customer service to both clients and candidates to maintain Wright Staff’s excellent reputation.

Key Skills & Requirements:

  • Experience in recruitment, ideally within the driving or logistics sector.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Self-motivated and target-driven, with a proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Ability to manage a busy desk with multiple client and candidate demands.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of compliance related to driver recruitment, including driver hours and licensing.
  • Proficiency with recruitment software and job boards.
  • A full UK driving license is essential.
